Located in the Northwest of the country, Wilpattu NP is one of the less visited parks in the country. At over 500 sq miles (1300 sg km), the park features many natural depressions which form over 100 lakes. This habitat supports a large variety of wildlife including many birds and the most famous of all, the increasing head of leopard.
