About Mark Wardle.

Born in the UK in 1956, Mark has spent most of his professional career (in the scientific industry) travelling on business and has been fortunate enough to visit some 80 countries, many of those visited multiple times. Since retirement, he is most likely to be found travelling for pleasure.

That enthusiasm for travel and a keen interest in wildlife and nature led him to start documenting his travels through a lens, and in recent years has become more active in the Cheltenham Camera Club close to his home in Gloucester, UK and in 2025 was successful in obtaining the Associate of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) distinction.

Ambling Images was created as a showcase for Mark's work and an increase in commercial interest. In recent years Mark had developed a following among clubs and societies delivering photography based presentations in the form of Audio Visuals, encompassing pictures with music and dialogue about countries and regions of the world. All monies raised donated to charity.
