The Okavango Delta in Botswana is a very large inland delta formed where the Okavango River fans out and the water inundates the surrounding land up to 15,0000 sq km. Over the months the delta dries out. The annual flooding breathes life into the ecosystem and the delta is home to a myriad of animals and birds, some of which are hard to see elsewhere.
